Wedding venue entrance changed? Send guests the right gate and map pin
The venue is the same, but the entrance is different. Copy a clear gate-change message and check the map pin, parking and drop-off details.

Lead with what actually changed
Start with “Same venue, new entrance.” Give the event name, date and gate name as it appears on the sign. Add the street or a stable landmark. If the timing and address are unchanged, say so once. Avoid “new venue” in the subject line when only the arrival route changed.
Copy this gate-change message
“Same venue, new entrance for [event] on [day, date]. Please use [gate name] on [street], beside [landmark], instead of [old gate]. The venue and event time are unchanged. Open the entrance pin: [verified map link]. For [parking / taxi drop-off], use [short instruction]. If you get stuck, contact [designated host].” Remove the parking line if the arrangements are not confirmed. Add an accessible drop-off instruction only after checking that it is available on the day.
Verify the pin as a guest would
Ask the venue coordinator to send the pin for the actual gate. Open it from the invitation on a phone and check where the final turn and arrival point land. A venue-name search can point to the main entrance even when guests should use a side gate. If the pin alone is ambiguous, put the gate name and street in plain text so a taxi driver or guest can use them without the map.
Separate taxi, parking and accessible arrival when needed
Give one instruction for each route that differs: “Taxi: drop at [gate]. Driving: enter [parking gate], then walk to [entrance]. Step-free arrival: use [confirmed drop-off].” When all guests use the same gate, one line is easier to read. Ask the venue which route will stay open late and whether gate signage matches your wording.
Replace the old direction wherever guests will see it
Update the written venue note and map together, then check any transport note or itinerary that repeats the old gate. Send the short correction directly to the affected group because an older screenshot or forwarded card will still show the previous instruction. Ask one guest who has not visited the venue to tell you where they would arrive using only the new message.
Questions couples ask
What if guests are already on the way?
Send the short correction first, with the new gate and verified pin. Have the designated host handle calls or arrange someone at the old gate if the venue permits it.
