Is updating the website enough?

No. Update the approved invitation and tell affected guests directly. Some people may rely on a screenshot or an old chat preview. State exactly which event changed, the correct venue or time, and whether other details remain the same. Ask for acknowledgement when a missed change would cause a serious arrival problem.

02

A clear venue-change message

“Dear [guest], the venue for our [event] on [full date] has changed. Please use [new venue, city] instead of [old venue]. Guest arrival is [time, venue-local time]. Updated directions and details are here: [link]. Please reply to confirm you have seen this update. Thank you, [hosts].” Remove any sentence that does not apply and verify the new map before sending.

03

A clear time-change message

“A quick update for [event] on [date]: guest arrival is now [new time] and the [ceremony / meal] begins at [new time], local time in [city]. Please disregard the earlier timing. Venue details: [link].” Identify whether the entire event moved or only one part of the schedule.

04

Check every connected detail

Review event cards, itinerary, transport notes, social artwork and RSVP instructions. If you shared a finished video, it may require a new export; if you shared a website, approved details can be corrected on the current link. Agree the correction and any additional work with Noor before announcing that it is complete.

05

Close the communication loop

Ask family coordinators to contact guests who may miss group messages. Keep a private record of acknowledgement for essential changes. Avoid repeatedly resending the entire invitation without saying what changed. A concise correction respects guests’ attention and reduces the risk of someone returning to an outdated screenshot.

06

Questions couples ask

Can we keep the existing website link after a correction?

Approved website details can be updated on the current link through the agreed support process. Tell affected guests directly; old screenshots and cached previews may remain.
