What should a UK–India invitation include?

State each event’s country, city, full written date, local arrival time and complete venue. Guests should not have to infer whether the Nikah is in the UK or India from the family address. If the celebrations span both countries, give each gathering its own heading and share only the relevant gatherings with each guest.

02

Make a two-country event sheet

Before choosing artwork, write an event sheet with columns for event, country, city, date, arrival time, ceremony or meal time, venue and invited group. This reveals gaps a decorative invitation can hide. If the UK celebration is a reception after an India ceremony, describe it that way rather than repeating “wedding” beside two dates without explanation.

03

Give travellers dependable early information

An early announcement can contain the couple names, confirmed date and city while the final venue is still being arranged. Say clearly that the complete invitation will follow. Avoid advertising a hotel block, transport service or a travel allowance until the relevant organiser has confirmed it. Guests should make their own entry and travel checks through official sources.

04

Use a message that explains the invitation

Example: “Dear [guest], we would love you to join our [event] in [city, country] on [full date]. Our invitation includes the local timings, directions and RSVP: [link]. Please respond by [date]. Warm regards, [hosts].” For guests invited to a second country’s celebration, send its own message and event details.

05

Check language and contact expectations

English may be the common practical language even when the family prefers Urdu wording. Ask relatives what they can comfortably read; do not assume location determines language. Agree the invitation wording with Noor before ordering. Put one guest-help contact beside practical information and give its country code. Review the link on phones in both countries before sending.

Questions couples ask

Can we include UK and India celebrations together?

Yes, as an invitation requirement to discuss with Noor. Give each celebration its own country, date, venue and invited group; confirm the supported layout before ordering.
